Sparkling RMVX menu selectables
Here’s something we released a little while ago over at rpgmakervx dotnet. However, it’s also owned by ientry, so we pulled it down because of their legal stuff.
This is a customizable Rpg Maker VX custom menu script that makes your selectable windows (ie: item & menu screens) sparkle over the selected object. Very cute effect for a magical game! RMVX script even though it’s a RMXP screen!
There’s way too much information on it for a blog post here, and wordpress was messing up the script code, so we put up a page on Squidoo. Visit this website for more information on the script.

This should go perfect with a space themed window… I may use it in a game. If I ever actually finish one, that is xD

Does anybody know how I’m supposed to register on this site or gamebaker.com? I’ve already wasted 3 hrs. and haven’t found a “register” link or an e-mail address to send this question to. Bad web design IMO.

Gamebaker was taken down due to it being hacked before. We uploaded some of the script pages for people who were using them/wanted to see them - it’s not currently an active site.

Crap, that means I won’t be able to get the “Unidentified Items” or “Splash Screens” from them, because they require member points. Unless you guys have them here and I didn’t see them…?

‘fraid not. Putting the site back up is on our to do list… those scripts are still safely stored somewhere. Not on the computer I’m on unfortunately

IDEA: Instead of putting the site back up, why not just put the scripts in this site? IDK which one would be easier, just a suggestion…

I tried using this script, but it said it couldn’t find the graphics/gamebaker/sparkle file. Where can I get this graphics file, or is this yet another factor of gamebaker.com being hacked and inactive?

Look in the instructions area of the sparkle window script page :) It’s really small, like 7 pixels tall, at the top of them.
And yeah it would be easier in some ways… except when it comes to instructions. Wordpress also breaks some of the script code, in this one it would always give errors copy pasted into a game until we moved it

The sparkly image wont show anymore!
